VIN 1339 of 1464. One of just ~1,500 produced for North America, and one of 107 produced in Very Orange. It has been meticulously maintained and upgraded in California throughout its life, featuring an active warranty on its Power Electronics Module from Gruber Motor Company, and a full body XPEL Ultimate paint protection film – custom cut to an exact fit on every exterior panel with a warranty that carries over to the next buyer.
Battery CAC is 140 of 160, indicating fantastic health for its age. Charges to 175 in Standard Mode and 225 in Range Mode. Prior servicing includes all TPMS sensors replaced, charge inlet circuit board replaced, four-wheel alignment performed, 12V battery replaced, battery coolant pump replaced, and annual service – all performed in June 2020 by Gruber Motor Company. In 2019, transmission fluid, brake fluid, & battery coolant swapped as per maintenance schedule. Vehicle is nearly flawless condition physically and mechanically.
Note – there are only six other Very Orange 2.5s with exterior and interior carbon fiber for North America. Vehicle will be sold with soft top, hard top, and factory 110V and 240V mobile connectors.

Tesla Roadster USA R80
$74,900This US based Glacier Blue Roadster has the upgraded 3.0 battery pack (R80) version. It will be coming from Marietta Georgia.
Glacier Blue 2008 Tesla Roadster #189 has just under 62,000 miles. The R80 upgrade was performed in May of 2016 when the odometer read 51,921. Last standard charge was 218 miles. Has the body colored hard top, with original hard top bag and the soft top that was rarely used.
Included are the original charge cables – HPC and the UMC, with most of the original AC adapters for various outlets. The GFCI plug has been replaced on the 120 volt cord so it just has a standard 120 volt plug.
Both CAN Jr and CAN Sr from HC Sharpe are included, as well as the original Tesla J1772 to Roadster adapter with the 2 foot cord. A weirder original Tesla charge adapter cable is also included, with Roadster to trident charge connector comparable to the later version CAN Sr adapter.
In addition to the R80 upgrade, it has the adjustable suspension, Xenon headlights, double din stereo, and some carbon fiber additions to the interior.
There are a few negatives. There are a few scratches, most notably on the front drivers side bumper (see picture), and the wheels have been scratched where someone was not too careful with taking the lug nuts off. The drivers side seat belt has a nick where I guess the door must have closed on it at some point. Not uncommon, the vents in the center have gotten sticky. There are two keys, but only one works.

Black Roadster – Newport Beach, CA USA

Unique “Roadster” badging on rear. 2.0 & 2.5 Sport models had “Roadster Sport” badging, this 1.5 has a modified Roadster Sport badge without the “sport” part, installed by Tesla by request.
Carpool stickers no longer functional, white stickers applied to early BEVs but were deprecated a few years ago.
Issues:
– JVC headunit is in poor working condition, will reset when driving over bumps. Would recommend replacement with more modern single DIN unit ( https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/single-din-radio-options.212070/ ) or do the double-DIN retrofit mod.
– Small scrape on right front bumper in front of wheel. Approx 1cm diameter.
– Light “door ding” scratches on passenger door, ~1cm long.
– Factory PPF still installed. PPF looks a little beaten up, but paint underneath is good.
– Small chip on front left wheel rim, has been painted over and not readily apparent.
– Headlights are missing clear coat and become yellowed over time. Can be fixed with headlight restoration compound or by replacing headlights (will include 2 spare headlight assemblies).
– Door sill cover has a crack in it
– Tires are still in good condition, but are several years old in age. Probably should be replaced relatively soon.Will include accessories:
– 120v charging cable.
– The CAN Jr. J1772 -> Roadster charging adapter.
– Custom outdoor car cover. “Superweave” fabric from California Car Cover. Gray, “Tesla” embroidered in red front & back. Car has lived outdoors in California for 8 years but always under cover when parked for more than ~20 minutes.

Glacier Blue Roadster USA

This is an original owner Roadster, and the car has always been garaged.
He was one of the early Tesla supporters as well as a longtime moderator on Tesla Motors Club, when he used to have more time.
This was the very first Roadster in Florida and was shipped across the country is a single car trailer. He also worked on getting the first public chargers installed in Florida, the Mayor of Sarasota rode in this Roadster at the very first Drive Electric event down there.
He has since moved up to DC and is “ridiculously busy these days with a new business”, therefore the sale.

Retirement Roadster USA

When this Roadster customer showed up at our shop a couple of years ago with a beautiful camper, towing a Sterling Silver Roadster, on the nicest aluminum trailer we have ever seen, all of us were drooling.
My first thought was, here is a Tesla Roadster fan, that has combined the ultimate dream of retirement, traveling the country with the finest driving machine available at a moments notice. Stops at KOA style campgrounds while enjoying the USA, allowed not only camper hookups, but 240 VAC fuel for the Roadster. We all said, “What a cool way to retire”.
This retirement dream package is now being offered for sale, and is an incredible bargain in my opinion. For an additional amount, the matching the Mercedes Sprinter motorhome (in matching silver/grey colors) can be included making this an inclusive retirement ready package.
Original MSRP= $127,745 (original window sticker provided with sale).
Factory Options Exterior: Metallic paint, Paint armor.

Solar guard windshield.#1151 was purchased by current owner, with 8000 miles showing, in 2018. After a thorough checkup by Gruber Motors, it was loaded on the custom aluminum trailer (included in sale) and toured the US from coast to coast and from southern to northern border and now shows 16032 miles, It toured next to Bison in the Dakotas, through Utah’s breathtaking parks, Mount Rushmore, Southern CA beach towns, and attended a wedding in South Carolina. In Central PA, it cruised next to Amish horse and buggies for maximum contrast. During this US tour, behind our Mercedes Sprinter motorhome, It also made two range mode trips of over 200 miles at 210 and 218.
At time of purchase by current owner, #1151 had one major upgrade, an Alpine iLX-007 infotainment/camera system that easily accesses all functions of the newest iPhones. Current owner also installed Tesla OEM carbon fiber door sills (provided by Gruber Motors) and had the emblems and hard top carbon fiber wrapped.
When wrapping the hard top, we also did the inside area where the soft trim panel is held by three screws; this reduces hard top removal/installation from a seven screw to a four screw operation! The original three screw soft panel is also included with sale, but you will probably prefer the aesthetics and ease of use of the interior carbon trim. Additionally the original Yokohama tires were replaced at 12000 miles with four Continental DWS06 tires (in the Roadster Sport size at front).
As subsequent pictures show, the trailer comes equipped with two mounted spare tires (one front, one rear) which really helped when we suffered a puncture in one of the original Yokohamas at Mount Rushmore. We also carried a small scissors jack and lug wrench that are included in the sale. Additional emergency items we carried were two new water pumps and a new PEM/Motor fan assembly, both also included in the sale.
Due to family health issues, the seller is motivated! He would even consider offering for sale the Mercedes Sprinter motorhome (in matching silver/grey colors), if it would facilitate the sale of #1151 to a good home. Additionally, seller would consider delivery at cost.
Thanks to Pete and Peter Gruber for facilitating this ad and for providing excellent service and parts support that allowed us to enjoy this three year Tesla Roadster Adventure while keeping it in outstanding condition. Everywhere in the country we unloaded it from the trailer, it was mistaken for new……not bad for a now 11 year old vehicle!

The Back Story on my 2008 Black on Camel Tesla Roadster:
This Tesla was custom made for “Third Stone Partners”, an investment group located in Chicago. The Third Stone founding partners, Bob Lassandrello and Mike Quattrocki, were one of the first Roadster buyers as one of their firm’s key themes is alternate energy investment. Their 2008 Black on Camel Tesla Roadster was the 446th Roadster off the production line and was delivered to Mike and Bob in Chicago in late 2009.
The owners fastidious approach was to keep the Roadster in a humidity and temperature controlled garage located at Mike’s home on the North Shore of Chicago. As I was looking to purchase a Roadster in 2017, I searched all over the country to find a pristine Roadster with very low miles and, hopefully, a somewhat rare Black on Camel combination. I took trips to Sarasota, FL, Houston, Texas and San Francisco in search of my dream Roadster.
I was actually negotiating on two different Roadsters, neither of which were Black on Camel, when I was at the University Club in Chicago and overheard a discussion at the bar about two guys wanting to sell a Roadster. So, I politely introduced myself and asked about the car and the sellers. The guys at the bar had not seen the car but did know it was black with very low miles — and they knew Bob and Mike. Armed with Mike’s contact information, I proceeded to call him. He confirmed Bob and he were selling the Roadster; they had a bit of a disagreement as to how the car was to be managed going forward. Bob wanted to keep the Roadster in Mike’s environmentally controlled garage and not put many miles on the Roadster, but Mike wanted to get the Roadster out and about.
Rather than have the Roadster disrupt their long standing friendship, they decided to sell. When I heard about the color of the interior and the condition of the Roadster, I was almost too excited to talk. Here, the car of my dreams was only 4 miles from my home!
As you might guess, I told Bob and Mike that I would take very good care of the Roadster, keeping it in a temperature controlled garage and drive only limited miles each year. So, I’ve owned the Roadster since December 2017 when it had 6600 miles and it now has 8600 miles – driving only about 570 miles a year. I’ve actually averages fewer miles per year than Mike and Bob!
I’ve recently purchased a home on the North Shore of Chicago overlooking Lake Michigan. The house needs some work and really needs a pool. So, I’m looking to find a good home for my Tesla Roadster and invest more in my new home.

$135,000This is another very rare color, painted at the Hethel UK Lotus Factory, one owner Roadster. Only two are know in existence, one in Japan, and this one in the USA.
The owner of this rare example is truly an early adopter. This special order pearl lavender called “Little Lilac” a DuPont color, which cost an additional $5K.(Interior color is “mostly black with some beige which was the closest match to the exterior color)
It also has a 3.0 battery pack installed a couple of years ago, with 270 miles range in standard mode, and 325 in range mode. There are only about 2K miles on this 3.0 battery which has over 3 Years warranty & over 70,000 miles remaining on battery warranty”
This Roadster has another rare and sought after limited feature – Fondmetal 7400 5 Spoke grey cast wheels. Tesla legend has it that Elon decided that these early one color charcoal grey wheels did not have enough pop, so going forward this wheel style would now include a polished metallic spoke face. The wheels on this Roadster are the pre-modification, and very few were sold with Roadsters. Tires have only a few thousand miles logged.
Since this owner is an early adopter, he tells a fascinating story. While early Roadster buyers were waiting for their cars, Tesla called a meeting with about 50 early Roadster adopters. Elon was present and told them all that Tesla needed an additional $5K, raising the final price of the Roadster. Most balked, were unhappy, since they already put down $15K-20K and still hadn’t seen their Roadster, and now there was a price increase before delivery.
Elon allegedly got mad and claimed without the price increase the company would go under.
Included is the hard top, soft top, three chargers, Yellow Cable, UMC Cable, with adapters, extensions, and a Clipper Creek HPC charger.
In addition, the hardtop has been stored in the Tesla package since day one, and the package includes an original Tesla car cover. The original paperwork is also included.An additional sidenote – The owner of this rare Roadster is also an electronics engineer, and gave Elon a design for DC fast charging for the Roadster. It was not adopted, most likely due to the fact no further Roadster product release delays could be tolerated.

In the USA, Roadster prices were depressed last year without a clear replacement battery solution available from Tesla. The most recent news that 3.0 replacement batteries are coming to Norway, and more customer feedback in Belgium that a similar offer has been made, precludes the replacement packs will be available in Europe. This price adjustment brings this EU Roadster in line with US prices.

Tesla Roadster – Ventura, CA USA

This Roadster is now heavily discounted to $96K, with the new 3.0 Battery Pack.This early Tesla Roadster is highly collectible. It is not only the last 1.5 Roadster built, a one-of color, and a one owner car.
This Roadster, like many, has a unique back story. For more details and pictures, go to – Our YouTube Channel describing this RoadsterOriginally Tesla promised the customer VIN 500 the last car when he put in the deposit and asked for a late VIN. (He wanted them to get the bugs out!)
They came back a year later saying I could have 498 since they were not going to make a VIN 500 and 499 was already promised. He convinced them to reinstate the cool number that had been originally promised making this VIN 500 the last 1.5 made.The unique color was painted at the Lotus factory in England in an Infiniti shade called: Autumn Copper, The gorgeous paint has just been professionally detailed at an Agoura Hills CA exotic car specialty shop. Note: pictures showing the car on grass with new carbon fiber hood piece are most current. The original hood part in copper is included in sale.
The sale includes the lighter weight aftermarket Taylor Mesh tops (there were two styles) were made originally made for the Lotus and Tesla communities for summer drives when you want the wind but not the burn. Of course it has the original soft top with a repair.
This car has a salvage title. The owner was driving down a freeway in California, where this car has spent the last 12 years, and a pipe fell off a truck in front of him. He ended up running over it, and it punctured the underside chassis with a hole about the size of a softball. The insurance company wanted to replace not only the tub, but entire underside chassis which would include the vehicle frame as well. Insurance companies sometimes handle claims in strange ways, and this approach ended up being overkill, and cost prohibitive, so they totaled the car. The owner wisely bought the car back from the insurance company, and had the punctured underside tub repaired by a reputable body shop, and kept this Roadster on the road.
This Roadster has another rare and sought after limited feature – Fondmetal 7400 5 Spoke grey cast wheels. Tesla legend has it that Elon decided that these early one color charcoal grey wheels did not have enough pop, so going forward this wheel style would now include a polished metallic spoke face. The wheels on this Roadster are the pre-modification, and very few were sold with Roadsters and these look amazing with the copper paint. The car comes with one spare wheel with repairable damage.
The Roadster includes a Martin Eberhard Charge cable which was built before the J1772 standard even existed! It has a Roadster plug on one end approximately 15 feet a cable and a junction box at the other end. The box has a power light and charge light. It sports a female California connector and there is a collection of five pigtails with a male California connector on one end and different plugs on the other. 1450, 1430, 120 Edison plug and two other obscure plugs. Tech details. As seen in the screen shot showing a matrix of all 0s, the battery is perfectly balanced. A former LA Tesla repair shop manager has given the car a clean and good working order signoff. Car charges to 200 miles in RANGE mode and 160 miles in STANDARD mode. A low milage car with only 65000 traveled but even better, a new battery pack was installed at 24000 miles. Brake discs are recently replaced as well.

A minor issue which can be resolved at a Tesla Service Center is the TPMS sensors reporting errors. There are small batteries (not replaceable) in each sensor, and they need to be replaced periodically.The Roadster came with an $3K electronics group package from Tesla.
Electronics Group was the “upgraded” audio system – JVC Unit with tiny navigation, 6 speakers including the door tweeters and a subwoofer mounted behind the driver’s seat.The Power Electronics Module (PEM) has had the IGBT Transistor Insulating Material replaced, which eliminates shorted power transistors, (not performed by Gruber Motors). Therefore we are not claiming a full PEM upgrade and rebuild, which includes all engineering problems resolved and wear items replaced.
The tires have less than 1k miles on them.
Comes with both Henry Sharp CAN adapters.
