It is an original owner Roadster, and it has been garage kept the whole time.
The owners Dad had one of the early Roadsters and in 2009 made an appointment for his son to buy one, because he felt that Tesla could become an important company and he should support them.
He told us, “So I did and he was right on the money about Tesla”.
A medical condition makes entry and exit difficult, and forces this sale. Hence, the low miles.
He said he loves the look of the car, and his wife just bought him a surprise car for his 60th and he felt he needed to sell one of his cars. He decided it was time for someone else to enjoy this excellent condition Roadster.
The Roadster is being serviced next week at a Tesla Service Center, just to make sure everything is up to date before he lets it go to a new owner.

This low mileage Roadster (21K), was stored inside its entire life with one of the cleanest unmolested executive leather interiors we have ever seen in a Roadster.
This Roadster went to a local Arizona Tesla Service Center for a battery replacement a couple of years ago.
Due to first generation 3.0 battery upgrade engineering issue delays, this Roadster sat for 18 months waiting for a replacement pack. In fall of last year, before the new 3.0 packs were made available by Tesla, this Roadster finally received a remanufactured 2.0 battery pack, and a replacement PEM putting it back on the road. Tesla warranties are active for both the PEM and ESS Battery Pack.
The owner was an early Roadster adopter and is the original owner. He bought it for $127K in 2011.

The seller used the proceeds for a down payment on the pending Roadster 2, and is the original owner of the 2011 Roadster the hard top came with.
The seller says this is a very well preserved combination of Thunder Gray hard top, and carrying case in perfect condition.
It is located in San Rafael, and you can see what is left of his parted out Roadster at the San Rafael Service Center.
