The Tesla Roadster diagnostic cable plugs into the Vehicle Management System (VMS) module and is designed for use with a compatible PCAN adapter and Roadster diagnostic software to support troubleshooting of the Vehicle Management System (VMS). Together, these tools provide a connection for accessing diagnostic information made available by the vehicle’s firmware.
The harness brings clearly identified DB9 connections into one organized assembly, helping technicians distinguish connection points during diagnostic setup. Black braided sleeving, metal connector housings, and labeled connections provide a practical cable arrangement for Roadster service and troubleshooting.

Use with a compatible PCAN adapter, computer, interface drivers, and Roadster diagnostic software. Confirm the harness connector configuration, Roadster version, and software compatibility before ordering. Select connections according to the applicable service documentation.
Important:
This cable is a diagnostic connection harness, not a standalone scan tool. It requires a PCAN adapter (see below).It does not independently interpret vehicle data or provide unrestricted firmware access. Firmware programming requires a Roadster diagnostic tool commonly referred to as “Puppy Suite”. Configuration changes and other advanced functions require this separately verified hardware, software, and vehicle support. Intended for personnel familiar with Tesla Roadster diagnostic procedures.
