Original Tesla Roadster body panels are no longer available from Tesla, and good used hoods or any body panels are scarce and sometimes scavenged from collision damaged cars. This carbon fiber front hood assembly is a brand-new after-market replacement, molded in dedicated Roadster tooling and built 100% from carbon fiber, including the internal frame. It ships in a smooth matte finish with visible carbon weave, ready to be clear-coated for a high-gloss carbon look or prepped and painted to match your Roadster’s body color.

Each hood is test-fit on a Roadster shell before shipment to verify alignment at the fenders, cowl, and bumper cover.
Because finishes and color-matching are highly personal, the panel ships in matte carbon only; final clear coat or paint
is performed by your body shop of choice. For long-term durability, we recommend a high-quality UV-stable clear if you keep the weave visible.
Maintenance Tip: For a deep, high-gloss carbon look, your painter can lightly scuff the matte surface, then apply multiple coats of UV-stable clear and polish. For a factory-style painted hood, treat the matte carbon like any composite panel:
primer, sealer, base coat, and clear.
