This is the insulating block that channels 400 Volts DC at hundreds of amps to the inverter section of the PEM to create 3-phase AC for the drive train.
The original injection-molded ABS black connector block in the PEM becomes brittle with age. Annual service—loosening and re-torquing the PEM connections to the ESS main battery pack—adds stress and often leads to cracks and crumbling of the assembly.
