My dad was a tech guy who invested in Tesla and of course he had to have a Roadster.
This was his pride and joy and he only drove it for 5,800 miles. He made sure that this car never saw rain and he kept it “plugged” in his garage in Las Vegas all the time.
In my visits he kept on saying that the car would be mine one day.
Sadly he passed away, and I inherited the car in 2020. In 2021 I did a lot of research and brought it to Gruber to check and do all its maintenance needed. (While at Gruber, the Power Electronics Module (PEM) was completely rebuilt, along with the main battery replacement by Tesla, preparing this Roadster for at least another decade or more).
Like my dad It was my pride and joy and I enjoyed the car immensely and only drove for another 2,000 miles.
However, now I think is time for someone else to experience what we both have experienced it. I hope this amazing car will find a good home.

I have owned this Roadster for 6 months.
It was purchased in Monterrey California, at a Sotheby auction.
I live in Canada, and have been a Roadster owners for years. This is my second Roadster which I was planning on using when I visit Arizona. I am not finding myself getting there that often as I want, and because of that reason I am selling it.
This Roadster has the 2020 version upgraded R80 Battery (not the 2016), and it was installed just 1 year ago.
One imperfection is the passenger headlight is beginning to delaminate, (see image) but the Roadster is at Gruber Motors in Phoenix, and they can resolve issues like this.

3 – We bought the Roadster new (86 miles) in 2011 when we retired to Florida.
It is an absolute delight to drive. It’s our Florida winter treat (we summer in Manhattan) and 99% of the time it is driven top down (with us in shorts).
In fact, the hard top is still in the box unopened.But age has been tougher on us than on the Roadster.
Three knee surgeries, back surgery, etc. have materially affected my flexibility making it difficult and painful to get in and out of the Roadster.
So it was not driven much – unfair both to us and the Roadster.4. Features –

$247,000This Roadster, VIN 414, is (original) glacier blue with white leather seats.
Both the color and leather seats were limited run options when we purchased.
It only has 5059 original miles on the odometer.
A new 3.0 battery was installed spring of 2021 at the Tesla Denver Service center utilizing the battery replacement contract purchased when we bought the roadster.
The pictures were taken without any detailing or cleaning. There is one blemish on the front center by the Tesla emblem. It was the result of a motorcycle leaning over on it while parked in a friends garage less than six months after we bought it. We have touch up paint but never used it.
It has a soft top in the trunk and a carbon fiber hard top that has not been removed.
A 120 volt charge cord (yellow) a high capacity charger (wall mounted) and a portable travel charger with multiple adapters are included.
Included is a toy remote control tesla roadster with batteries and card sent from Tesla to us as a gift to get our kids interested in tesla cars.
VIN 414 was one of the first roadsters in Colorado and the descriptive information I presented to the Colorado Dept. of Revenue was used to establish the EV tax credit of $42,082.00 for any roadster purchased that year.
Tesla Corporate, (Meridith McCal) was in weekly and daily contact with us while the tax credit was finalized.
The Boulder Gallery was being set up to sell Roadsters and with a 42 thousand tax credit and three months before the end of the year Tesla thought they might be able to advertise the credit and sell some roadsters. We were told Tesla Boulder sold a bunch of roadsters by the end of the year.

The original owner was is an American biotechnologist and businessman. He is known for leading the first draft sequence of the human genome, and was listed on Time magazine’s 2007 and 2008 Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world.

“My roadster comes with the yellow charge cable, Tesla J1772 adapter, and all the tools that came with it.
I have taken off the GFCI and put a plug on the end so I can just replace the plug in GFCI when the need arises.
The backstory. In 2006 I saw the movie “Who killed the electric car”.
I started searching for an electric car and found that Tesla was going to make the Roadster. I started a saving account called Tesla fund. I saved for 9 years, then searched for a twilight blue for a year.
I bought my Roadster on Ebay. I have had this car since June 29, 2014. I always charge it with the yellow cable. In 2015 we were washing it and my son squirted the hose full blast into the air vent behind the door. A seal failed and water got in the battery compartment.
We got it to Tesla, and they did a bleed test, and the battery was still good, but they replaced it anyway.
I would never sell this car unless I was moving to another country.”

It has spent the majority of its life in Seattle. Shows no material blemishes. Driven very little in the last few years (maybe four thousand miles).
Garaged and charged at all times. Has original battery pack, and the battery pack health is excellent (charges to around 180 miles in standard mode); CAC reading is 144.43Ah.
No past or current PEM issues. In the last two years, the only maintenance needed was replacement of the 12 volt battery, TMPS replacement, and a Garmin firmware update. Tesla arranged and paid for upgraded interior leather and side panels around year 4, and the leather appears like new. Comes with OEM ragtop and hardtop, as well as an assortment of charger adapters. We emailed this new posting to our prequalified Roadster Buyer list, usually 24 hours prior to promoting it on social media sites.
The Roadster immediately went into a bidding war, similar to what is happening in the housing market with multiple offers over asking price.
As a result, we were asked to remove the fixed price of $250K, and turn this posting into a “make offer” sale comparable to auto auctions.

This beautiful, well preserved, highly collectible, Signature 100 Thunder Grey Roadster is located in Denver, CO, (the owner lives in San Carlos, CA).Now here is where it gets crazy, a low VIN at 13, combined with incredibly low mileage at 840 miles. Talk about collectible elements in one package.
This Signature Roadster includes Black interior, a hard top is still in the box, both 220 and 110v charger, both keys and USB’s, and the original manual.
The Roadster is complaining about the TPMS sensors, which is quite common after a few years on all Roadsters. Any Tesla Service Center can replace these for a few hundred dollars.

There are no dents, scratches or discoloration on this beautiful Roadster, and does include a premium audio package, as well as a hard and soft top.

– Electric blue hardtop was on the car when I received delivery as an original owner. I removed it soon thereafter, and have never used it since.
It has been stored in the rafters of my garage ever since. The interior lining of the hardtop does need to be replaced however.

I live in Virginia and purchased my Roadster sight unseen while they were still in development in 2006/07, via email, with the purchase terms confirmed via fax. My Roadster was delivered to me from California using a privately owned, long-haul covered auto transport. I took delivery in a driving rain in a Target parking lot, signed the delivery receipt, and that was it. It was fun and exciting.
