This silicone PEM cooling fan duct directs airflow from the PEM cooling fan across the transistor heat sinks—critical for keeping the IGBT power transistors within safe operating temperatures. Aging OEM ducts become brittle, crack, and restrict airflow, reducing cooling performance. Your Roadster will run hot, and go into power limiting mode during hot days.
We recommend pro-active replacement every ~7 years to prevent surprise downtime and thermal derating.

Maintenance Tip: During PEM annual preventive maintenance, with the PEM removed, and duct disconnected, shine a flashlight inside the duct and look for fissures in the duct.
