What Makes It a “PyroFuse”?
Unlike a conventional fuse that melts slowly under sustained overload, a pyrofuse contains a tiny pyrotechnic charge. When the car’s safety system detects a severe crash, that charge is fired, driving a piston or blade through the conductor and mechanically severing the high-voltage path in a few milliseconds.
