Designed by longtime Roadster owner and engineer Henry Sharp, the CAN-SR expands the charging options available to the original Tesla Roadster. This kit supports compatible Tesla NACS AC charging and, with the included adapter, SAE J1772 Level 2 AC charging—while the Roadster retains its original charging capability.
One System — Three Ways to Charge Your Tesla Roadster
Use the Roadster’s original charging equipment, connect to compatible Tesla NACS AC charging equipment through the CAN-SR, or add the included J1772 adapter for compatible public Level 2 charging.
1 — Original Tesla Roadster Charging
Continue using the Roadster’s original proprietary charging equipment just as the vehicle was originally designed.
2 — Roadster NACS Charging

Connect a compatible Tesla NACS AC charging connector directly to the CAN-SR for access to compatible NACS AC charging equipment such as Wall Connectors and Destination Chargers.
