This premium replacement Supermanifold Heat Exchanger Chiller with seal (PN – 1523003-00-B) is designed for Tesla Model 3 (2017โ2023) and Model Y (2020โ2023).ย It sits at the heart of the thermal system, where the A/C refrigerant and coolant circuits meet, helping control HV battery, powertrain, and cabin temperatures. A leaking or restricted chiller can cause thermal warnings, reduced fast-charge speeds, and poor HVAC performance.
| Technical Specifications & Fitment | |
|---|---|
| Supplier Part Number | 1523003-00-B (aftermarket replacement for Tesla supermanifold chiller; verify OEM PN by VIN) |
| Vehicle Fitment | Tesla Model 3 2017โ2023 โข Tesla Model Y 2020โ2023 (equipped with compatible supermanifold assembly) |
| Function | Heat exchanger (chiller) at the supermanifold that transfers heat between the A/C refrigerant circuit and the coolant loop for the HV battery, drive unit, and HVAC system. |
| Location | Front of vehicle, integrated into the supermanifold / coolant manifold assembly behind the front aero shield. |
| Included | Supermanifold heat exchanger chiller body with seal. Additional O-rings, coolant, and refrigerant are not included and should be sourced separately. |
| Material / Construction | Corrosion-resistant metal/aluminum heat-exchanger core with precision-machined ports and sealing surfaces designed for R1234yf refrigerant and Tesla coolant. |
| Installation Notes | Requires safe recovery of refrigerant, partial coolant drain, and correct torque of manifold fasteners. Professional A/C and EV thermal system service strongly recommended. |
Replacing the supermanifold chiller is a hybrid A/C and coolant job. The vehicle must be placed in Service Mode, refrigerant must be properly recovered
and recharged with an A/C machine, and the coolant loop must be vacuum-filled and bled to remove air. This work is best performed by a Tesla-experienced EV shop such as Gruber Motors or a technician familiar with Model 3/Y thermal systems.
Maintenance tip: Any time the supermanifold chiller is replaced, use new, lightly lubricated seals on all connections, replace any suspect O-rings,
and perform both an A/C leak test and a full coolant vacuum-fill / bleed. Skipping these steps can lead to repeat leaks, trapped air, and poor battery cooling or HVAC performance.
