Coolant Pump – 1041151-00-E

HV Battery Coolant Pump โ€” 1041151-00-E

Fits Tesla Model 3 โ€ข HV battery coolant loop โ€ข Mounts at supermanifold / coolant manifold

The Tesla Model 3 uses one or more electric coolant pumps mounted at the supermanifold to circulate coolant through the high-voltage (HV) battery loop. This OEM HV battery coolant pump keeps the pack in its optimal temperature range for performance, fast charging, and long-term life. A weak or seized pump can cause overheat warnings, reduced power, no cabin heat on heat-pump cars, and fault codes in the thermal system.

Why these pumps fail
  • Coolant leaks โ€” Small leaks at hoses, O-rings, or the supermanifold let the pump run low on coolant until it overheats and seizes.
  • Running dry โ€” If the system is not properly vacuum-filled or bled, trapped air can cause the electric pump to cavitate and overheat.
  • Age and contamination โ€” Old or contaminated coolant accelerates internal wear and can load the pump bearings and impeller.
  • Thermal system faults ignored โ€” Driving for extended periods with low coolant or repeated thermal warnings can finish off a marginal pump.

What this part does for your Model 3
  • Restores HV battery cooling โ€” Ensures proper coolant flow through the battery pack for stable temps under hard driving and DC fast charging.
  • Supports heat-pump operation โ€” On heat-pump cars, the battery loop ties into the cabin HVAC; a healthy pump helps restore cabin heat and defrost performance.
  • Direct OEM replacement โ€” Bolts directly to the supermanifold with the factory T20/T25 hardware, reuses the original electrical connector, no wiring mods.
  • New sealing hardware recommended โ€” We strongly recommend installing with new, lubricated O-rings and performing a proper vacuum refill / bleed.

Service & installation support

Replacing a Model 3 HV battery coolant pump is not a typical DIY job. The procedure involves putting the car into Service Mode, safely disconnecting LV power, removing front aero shields, and using a vacuum-fill tool to remove air from the system before refill. We recommend installation by a technician experienced with Tesla thermal systems or having the work performed at Gruber Motors.

Maintenance tip: When replacing a coolant pump, always install new, lightly lubricated O-rings at the supermanifold ports and run the full
Coolant Fill/Drain routine in Service Mode. Simply topping off the reservoir can leave air pockets that cause noise, poor cooling, or a repeat pump failure.
