This beautiful 2008 Tesla Roadster is in fantastic condition and represents one of the most important early chapters in Tesla history. Purchased as both a collectible and a driver, this Roadster has been enjoyed the way these cars were meant to be — preserved carefully, maintained properly, and driven enough to keep it exercised and sorted.
The car drives great and has recently been to Gruber Motors in Phoenix, Arizona for its annual service. It is now located in the Denver, Colorado area, ready to be shipped to its next owner.
This Roadster was purchased with the intention of collecting it while still being able to enjoy the driving experience that made the original Tesla Roadster so special. These cars are unlike anything else Tesla has built since — small, lightweight, direct, and deeply connected to the earliest days of the company’s story.
The only reason for selling is that the owner recently had the opportunity to purchase a cherry red 2010 Roadster Sport with only 3,500 miles, and has decided to transition into keeping that car instead.
This 2008 Roadster is now ready for a new caretaker who appreciates what these cars represent: the first true Tesla sports car, the beginning of the modern EV performance era, and a rare opportunity to own a piece of electric vehicle history.
