Owner’s Backstory
This Roadster came to me via Bring a Trailer in 2019.
I bid fair and early to secure it, as it was an excellent example, the correct color, and one owner.
I expect the Roadster to only increase in value and probably be worth half a million someday, mostly due to historical significance. It was the first long-range and fast electric car — the first Tesla.
I mostly drove the Roadster in parades and special events. Nearly every year, I took it to a Tesla service center in Illinois for maintenance.
It went to Gruber Motor Company for a PEM rebuild, redo on the clear coat, and a full suspension upgrade and overhaul.
I put about 3,000 miles on it. I have a second set of new rear tires and both 240V MC240 and 120V MC120 charge cables.
I imagined keeping the Roadster forever, but now I am starting a new venture with electrics and it needs a lot of cash. Four other unique vehicles are also going up for sale.
