I bought this 3 years ago as my 50th birthday present for myself after selling my business.  I’ve always loved the Tesla roadster and love it even more after driving it.

My fun trips mostly included cruising through the Colorado mountains with the top down and enjoying the scenery with my 4 year old daughter (yes, I started late :).  My intention had been to keep it as a collectors car; however, my wife and I decided to “unplug” ourselves and head out of the country for a year long tour of the world with our daughter (before she hits school age).

We are unsure where we might land when we get back (or we might decide to live overseas) and we’re trying to downsize so we have flexibility.  I don’t want to risk storing the Roadster for this length of time; so I reluctantly think the best option is to sell with the hope that someday I can get another one once I settle back down that is in as good of condition; which I know may not be possible.

I’ve been meticulous about monitoring the battery since I know the sensitivities to the batteries bricking, so I check the charge on it quite often and make sure it isn’t sitting idle for more than a couple of weeks.
