#0168 is the first Signature 250 Sport Roadster to be delivered in Belgium; it’s also the first Roadster to arrive in Belgium in Glacier Blue.
It arrived at my home by truck on January 27, 2010, at a time when Tesla had no facilities on the European continent. The first inspections were carried out at my place by Tesla Rangers who came from Hethel (UK) with a workshop van.
This Roadster is the most exciting car I’ve ever driven. I’m still the first owner and due to my severe vision problems (I was born on July 4, 1932), I have decided not to drive anymore. This explains why I was using it less and less, as can be seen from the table on line among photographs.
I have always maintained the car with the utmost care, and it has always been parked in a closed garage between 10°C and 20°C (50°F and 68*F).
Already in 2010 I installed a buzzer (operated by hand or foot) to warn pedestrians and cyclists, which can also be connected in reverse (beep-beep-beep).
At the end of 2019 I replaced the original Blaupunkt Rome Europe NAV56E car radio with a Pioneer Receiver, AVH-Z7200DAB with retractable 7” screen to have a bigger screen, better sound and a connection with a rear camera. But I can give the Blaupunkt to anyone who wants it.
In 2020, the motor-fan that cools the PEM was replaced and, as the connector linking this unit to the PEM was blackened, Tesla carried out a standard PEM exchange.
For domestic appliances an inverter can be connected to an outlet located in the rear trunk (only when starter switch is turned ON).
The battery (53 kWh) is still original; its data were recorded on October 18, 2023 on a USB stick (202310180857.tar file) and examined by Nicholas Gribbin (Gruber Motor Company) who concluded:
